We walk with you because we have been there and know the way out of the valley!
SAWN Uganda is the Ugandan arm of SAWN UK.
Our work is to support women who are going through hardships in life, and could do with some help to get back on their feet.
We are currently working with Teen single mothers.
Our current program does these
1. Meets immediate subsistence needs
2. Positive parenting sessions
3. Supporting Women into Business.
Support and Action Women’s Network Uganda Programs aim to improve Teenage moms and women on a holistic level. We specifically improve their quality of life through training in sewing and other income-producing activities and developing their awareness of the consequences of life choices.
We also assist women who’ve been out of work for a long period due to illness, or lack of education and qualifications with our “Sew-it-up” initiative. This initiative helps them to work with us without judgment. Thereby contributing to the wider community socially and economically.
